摘要
PBL教学模式是一种以学生为主体的探究性教学模式,注重培养学生探究问题和解决问题的能力。本研究以二语教学课程《英语国家国情》为研究对象,在LBL教学模式中融入PBL教学模式,教师在全英文讲授教材内容的同时,注重学生批评性思维、自主学习能力及解决问题能力的培养。一个学期的PBL教学实践及考核结果显示,学生在自主学习能力、批评性思维、文献查找、资料收集、资料整理、资料分析、用二语做课堂报告及撰写学术论文等方面的能力都有较大的提高。在PBL教学实践中,笔者发现该教学模式在实践中存在一些亟待解决的问题,如部分学生英语基础差、自主学习能力弱、教师知识结构不够全面等问题。
The PBL teaching model is a student-oriented and inquiry-based way of learning,which focuses on cultivating learners’problem-solving abilities.Taking A Survey of Major English Speaking Countries,a TCSL course,as the object of study,the researcher applies both PBL teaching model and LBL teaching model in the course,trying to cultivate learners’abilities of critical thinking,autonomous learning and solving problems while teaching the textbook knowledge.One-semester teaching practice and its assessment results show that the PBL teaching model is effective in cultivating learner’s abilities of autonomous learning,critical thinking and literature research as well as abilities of searching,processing and analyzing information.Besides,the learners have greatly improved their ability of giving in-lass presentation in English and ability of writing academic papers in English.In the practice of applying the PBL teaching model,there have also emerged some problems that need to be solved,such as the poor English level and poor learning ability of some students and the inadequate knowledge of the teacher as well.
