With the rapid development of social economy,the power grid operation is faced with a more complex external environment.This paper analyzes the grim situation faced in the protection of electric power facilities,expounds the ideas for the protection of innovative electric power facilities and the establishment and improvement of the local electric power protection system,so as to effectively reduce the probability of the damage to electric power facilities caused by external forces.
