Objective To study the application effect of EEG dual-frequency index in guiding sedation in patients with severe pneumonia mechanical ventilation, and to provide certain reference and guidance for the effective development of nursing work. Methods A total of 60 patients with severe pneumonia on mechanical ventilation admitted to ICU in Zhongshan Hospital from May 2018 to November 2019 were selected and divided into the experimental group and the control group by random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. The sedation depth was assessed according to the sedation-agitation score in the control group, and the sedation depth was assessed according to the eeg dual-frequency index in the experimental group, and the final nursing indicators of patients in the two groups were compared. Results By comparing the nursing effect of the BIS group and the RASS group, the sedation effect of the patients with severe pneumonia mechanical ventilation was guided by BIS(P<0.05).Conclusion The EEG bispectral index guides sedation in patients with severe pneumonia with mechanical ventilation has better clinical practice effects. The dual-frequency analysis method is used to convert the EEG signals into simple digital reports. The ability to do sedative evaluations in a more timely and objective manner has played an important role in guiding the effective development of ICU patient care.
