精英教育最本质的特征是在教育模式上持续的、深入的师生互动,强调理智、个性和抱负的培养。由于医学教育的教育学属性,其具有典型的精英教育特点。北京协和医学院自1917年建校以来,一直坚持医学精英教育,形成了小规模、长学制,高进、优教、严出,以培养能力为主的医学精英教育思想,培养了一批优秀的医学人才。面向未来,学校还需进一步完善医学精英教育培养模式,发挥对中国医学教育的带动作用。

The most essential feature of elite education is the continuous and in-depth interaction between teachers and students,which emphasizes on the cultivation of sense,personality and ambition.Because of the pedagogics nature of medical education,medical education has the typical characteristics of elite education.Peking Union Medical College has been adhering to medical elite education since its establishment in 1917.It has formed a small-scale and long-term education program.The medical education program emphasizes strict enrollment,high quality education and strict graduation regulation.A number of excellent medical talents have been trained at PUMC.Facing the future,our school will further improve the medical elite education mode in order to lead Chinese medical education.
