摘要
语用身份是一个人特定社会身份在具体交际语境中的呈现,交际者通过话语建构动态的语用身份,达成不同的交际效果。以中西4所高校的校长开学典礼致辞为研究语料,根据人称指示语、语体和言语行为3种建构手段,从语用身份的视角分析和比较中西高校校长在致辞中建构的不同默认身份和策略身份。基于Verschueren的顺应论,指出了中西高校校长语用身份的动态选择和话语建构反映了其对物理世界、社交世界和心理世界中相关语境因素的交互顺应,显示了中西方不同文化背景下语用身份建构的差异。
Pragmatic identity presents a person′s specific social identity in the communicative context.Communicators construct the dynamic pragmatic identity through discourse to achieve different communicative effects.Based on the freshman convocation address of four universities in China and America,according to person deixis,syntax and speech act,the paper analyzes and compares the differently approved identity and variant identities constructed by Chinese and western university presidents from the perspective of pragmatic identity.Based on Verschueren′s adaptation theory,the paper puts forward that the dynamic choice and discursive construction of pragmatic identity of Chinese and western university presidents reflect their mutual adaptation to the relevant contextual factors in the physical world,social world and psychological world,revealing the differences in the construction of pragmatic identity between Chinese and western cultures.
