Long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)is an important regulator of cellular mechanisms,which is often dysregulated in kidney cancer.Research on lncRNA is improving our understanding of kidney cancer,from its development to its spread.lncRNA functions through a variety of mechanisms,which play important roles in renal cancer,such as hypoxia-inducible factor pathway-dependent regulation and hypoxia-inducible factor pathway-independent regulation.In clinical practice,the detection of oncogenic lncRNA in serum can achieve early cancer detection,and lncRNA may also be a promising therapeutic target for renal cancer patients.Therefore,understanding the role of lncRNA in kidney cancer may provide information on the molecular landscape and natural history of kidney cancer and can be used to optimize the treatments.In brief,lncRNA is a promising candidate for molecular research and discovery of new biomarkers,and a potential therapeutic target for kidney cancer.
