摘要
基于认知语言学的识解理论,探讨了《红楼梦》两个经典英译本中饮食文化词语的翻译。结果表明:由于译者对于我国饮食文化词语的理解差异,两个英译本的译者在翻译过程中对于这些饮食文化词语的识解重构与原文意思存在一些偏差。
The paper explores the translation of words in diet culture in two classic English versions in A Dream in Red Mansions based on construal theory in Cognitive Linguistics.It is found that due to different understanding of words in Chinese diet culture,the construal reconstruction of theses words by the translators of the two English versions is different from the original words in the translation process.
