The Patterns of Thematic Progression in Modern Chinese Texts and Related Problems

基于10篇叙述式演讲体文本主位推进模式的统计情况,认为在郑贵友的7种汉语篇章主位推进模式之外,存在另外5种主位推进模式:述位交叉模式、主位对称模式、关系照应模式、主位包含模式、主位延续模式。在对一些特殊句子进行切分时,要严格遵循:“篇章学原则”是基础,“小句对象原则”和“层级性原则”是建立在篇章学原则之上的准则,基本模式与变形模式应有一个明确的界限。提出汉语篇章主位推进模式的总体特征:以单项主位推进模式为主,容易变形,以形式为主,兼顾内容。

Basing on the statistics of thematic progression patterns of 10 narrative speech texts,the author of this paper concludes that there are 5 thematic progression patterns:rheme crossover pattern,thematic symmetry pattern,relational reference pattern,thematic inclusion pattern and thematic continuation pattern,in addition to 7 thematic progression patterns of Chinese texts written by Zheng Guiyo.In the segmentation of some special sentences,the principles should be strictly followed that“discourse principle”is the foundation for“clause object principle”and“hierarchical principle”are based on“discourse principle”.There should be a clear boundary between basic mode and deformed mode.The general characteristics of thematic progression patterns in Chinese texts are presented as follows:single thematic progression mode being dominant,easy to be deformed,form-based and content taken into account.
