Emergency shutoff device is one of the important safety accessories to prevent the medium inside the transportable pressure vessel from leaking,spreading and expanding.Its reliability and effectiveness play an important role in ensuring the safe operation of the equipment.The failure of emergency shutoff device for road tankers found in periodic inspection was discussed.Based on the relevant standards and regulations of emergency shutoff valve device and the actual use and implementation of the standards,the causes of the failure of emergency shutoff device for liquefied gas road tankers and refrigerated liquefied gas road tankers were discussed from the aspects of manufacture,testing,use and supervision.The matters needing attention during inspection and application,suggestions for improvement of standards and specifications were put forward.
