媒介接触如何影响民众地方治理评价?--基于民众政府观的中介效应分析

How does Media Exposure Affect People’s Evaluation of Local Governance Analysis of the Mediating Effect Based on the Public View of Government

媒介接触对民众治理评价的影响已引起高度关注,形成了三种相互论争的主张:“媒介抑郁论”“良性互动论”与“媒介类别论”,然而其影响路径的解释仅局限于媒介内容本身,忽视了媒介的政治社会化功能。基于“2015年度中国城乡社会治理调查”(CSGS2015)的数据资料,本文试图深入这一论争背后,分析不同类别的媒介接触对于公众地方治理评价的影响机制。结果表明,新旧媒介接触均降低了公众的地方治理评价。其中,关键性中介变量为民众的政府观:媒介接触通过推动民众政府观现代化而降低其地方治理评价,进而从民众需求角度增强了治理现代化的社会内驱力,凸显了媒介政治社会化功能的治理意涵。

The influence of media exposure on the public governance evaluation has attracted great attention and formed three kinds of mutually demonstrative propositions: "media malaise", "virtuous circle" and "media category",however,the explanation of its influence path has been only limited to the media content itself,ignoring the political socialization function of the media.Based on the statistical analysis of 2015 China social governance survey(CSGS2015),this paper attempts to go deep into the background of this research controversy and analyze the influence mechanism of different types of media exposure on public local governance evaluation.The results show that both the traditional media and new media can reduce public evaluation of local governance,and the key mediating variable is the public view of government:media exposure reduces the evaluation of local governance by promoting the modernization of public view of government,in turn,from the point of view of the public needs to strengthen the social drive for modernizing governance and highlight the governance implication of media politics socialization function.
