“西学东渐”是指近代西方文化思想向中国传播的演进历程。西方国家试图以文化输出作为殖民侵略的辅助工具,满清统治者希图找到挽救没落的封建制度的稻草。随着双方文化交互的演进,其发展走向出乎双方初衷,中国先进知识分子找到了救国救民的真理,推翻了封建制度,打败了殖民侵略者,完成了民族民主革命。

“Western thoughts coming to the East”refers to the spread of modern western cultural thought to China.Western countries tried to export culture as an auxiliary tool of colonial aggression,and the rulers of the Qing Dynasty looked up to it as a straw to save the collapsing feudal system.With the evolution of cultural interaction between the two sides,its development went beyond the original intention of both sides.Chinese advanced intellectuals found the truth of saving the country and the people,overthrew the feudal system,defeated the colonial invaders,and completed the national democratic revolution.
