As an important technical document for after-sales servicemen to refer to when they repair an engine,an engine service manual features massive and detailed in terms of content and structure.This paper introduces the thinking in the process of developing an engine service manual,which focused on how to compile the manual so that the servicemen could quickly and conveniently obtain the required service information to accomplish the repair task.At the same time,the timely transmission of the manual was analyzed and solutions were put forward.A good engine service manual can accurately and in time transmit service information to the after-sales service department,thereby improving the service ability of after-sales servicemen.
