Forster′s Howards End is a novel reflecting the fate of England and human civilization(allegory).Based on Raymond Williams′cultural materialism theory,this paper takes the marriage of Wilcox and Margaret as the main line and discuss detailedly the asymmetry in the binary opposition of connection view and the dominant culture of Edwardian era.
