日本国立国会图书馆人工智能实验室的实践与启示

人工智能实验室是图书馆在人工智能领域应用的重要尝试。日本国立国会图书馆在2013年成立了实验室,联合其他机构,共同促进先进的信息技术在数字图书馆服务中的应用,取得了"下一代数字图书馆"、NDC预测器、MIMA搜索等有代表性的技术成果,并通过"NDL数字图书馆咖啡厅"和"城市数据挑战赛"两种活动促进数据和服务的利用。我国目前对图书馆人工智能实验室的研究较少,且侧重于在教育领域的应用。日本国立国会图书馆人工智能实验室的实践会对我国图书馆人工智能服务有所启示。

The artificial intelligence laboratory is an important attempt of the libraries in the field of artificial intelligence.The National Diet Library of Japan established its AI laboratory in 2013 and cooperated with other institutions to make advanced information technology more accessible to digital libraries.As a result,the library has gained a well-deserved reputation of the Library of the Next Generation and other achievements including NDC predictor and MIMA searching.The library also held two activities,NDL Digital Library Cafe and Digital Challenge,to encourage people to use the digital tools and services.China,however,lags behind in the field of AI laboratory in libraries,with most of the relative researches emphasizing AI education.We can be inspired by the practice taken by the Lab of National Diet Library of Japan down the road.
