Objective To retrospectively analyze the postpartum hemorrhagic(PPH)outcome in 405 pregnancies through assisted reproductive technology(ART)and to further explore the correlation. Methods A total of 405 women who received ART in the Reproductive Center of Anhui Women and Child Health Care Hospital from January 2014 to January 2018 and finally singleton delivered in the hospital were enrolled in this study. They were assigned as the ART group.Another 571 cases of natural pregnancy in our hospital during the same period served as the control group. The PPH outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results There was no difference in the average age, body weight,BMI and fetal weight between the two groups(P>0.05).The ART group had significantly higher rate of cesarean section than the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05),and obviously higher incidence of PPH,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).In the ART group, the vaginal delivery subgroup had significantly higher incidence of PPH than the cesarean section subgroup, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusions The incidence of PPH is higher in the ART group than that in the control group and in the ART group, the vaginal delivery subgroup has significantly higher incidence of post-partum hemorrhage than the cesarean section subgroup.
