Central venous catheter placement is one of the most common operations in intensive care unit.Traditional landmark technique has a low puncture success rate and a high incidence of complications.The choice of ultrasound-guided axillary vein catheterization technique has resulted in a higher puncture success rate and a lower incidence of complications.This article reviews the ultrasound-guided axillary vein catheterization,with a view to provide a reference for clinicians to choose the appropriate ultrasound guidance technology and puncture site.
