句子语境信息与词汇同义关系交互作用的机理探究——来自眼动追踪实验的证据

The interplay of sentence contextual information and lexical synonymy:Evidence from eye tracking experiments

本文采用眼动追踪技术,考察在不同类型的句子语境中,语义联系和语用推理机制对词汇同义关系在线加工的影响。研究结果表明:1)语境熟悉度高的情况下,同义词对目标词概念的启动效应不显著,因此语义联系不影响词汇同义关系的在线加工;2)典型同义词对词汇加工和句子理解均无显著影响,说明词汇同义关系无法通过默认推理在线构建;3)特殊语境信息和同义词的交互作用显著,呈现特殊同义词降低了目标词和实验句的理解难度,这表明同义关系通过整合词汇编码意义和关联语境信息进行在线构建,语用推理是词汇同义关系的在线构建的认知机制。

The present study adopts eye tracking to examine the effect of semantic association and pragmatic inferential mechanism on the online processing of lexical synonymy in different sentence contexts.The results show that:1)the priming effects of synonyms are not significant if they occur in familiar contexts,which indicate that the semantic association does not affect the online processing of lexical synonymy;2)The occurrence of typical synonyms does not affect the processing of lexical and sentence meaning.This suggests that lexical synonymy can not be constructed through default reasoning;and 3)There is significant interaction between specific contextual information and synonyms,and the occurrence of special synonyms reduces the processing effort of target words and sentences.The result further indicates that lexical synonymy is inferred through integrating lexical encoded meaning and relevant contextual information,and pragmatic inference is the cognitive mechanism of the online construction of lexical synonymy.
