中国申奥成功必将带动多个行业的交流与合作,这就需要大量的高素质英语人才。冬奥会志愿者的主要力量是大学生,提高其英语交际能力至关重要,然而多数大学生缺乏英语交际能力和奥运及体育相关知识,不能满足奥运会对英语人才的需求。因此,高校必须对目前的大学英语教学做出调整和改进,助力冬奥会,同时服务于国家战略和地方经济发展。

The success of China’s bid for the Olympics will surely drive exchanges and cooperation in multiple industries,which requires a large number of high-quality English talents.The main strength of the Winter Olympics volunteers is college students,and it is very important to improve their English communication skills.However,most college students lack English communication skills and Olympic and sports related knowledge,which cannot meet the needs of the Olympics for English talents.Therefore,colleges and universities must make adjustments and improvements to the current college English teaching,help the Winter Olympic Games,and serve national strategies and local economic development.
