Chronology of the Longchang County Magistrate ZHU Yunjun in Period of Qianlong Emperor

朱云骏,乾隆二十一年举人,于乾隆三十二年四月至四十四年五月任隆昌知县。治尚宽简,关心民隐,尤以兴建书院,培植文风而深得百姓爱戴。四任四川乡试同考官,三科解元皆出其门,传为佳话。在朝廷征缅甸、金川时奉命征送粮饷,多有诗纪之,反映出时局之变幻。修纂《隆昌县志》,为保存地方史料作出了贡献。朱氏传记未见,但借助其诗集《画庄类稿》及友人别集等文献尚可粗略勾勒其生平大概。

ZHU Yunjun,a successful candidate of the imperial examination in the 21st year of Qianlong Emperor,was the Longchang County magistrate in the period of the 32nd to the 44th years of Qianlong Emperor.He was broadminded and simple,and cared about the people’s difficulties.He built academies,cultivated the learning fashion and was deeply respected.For 4 times,he became the examiner of Sichuan Provincial Examinations.And the three winners were all from his guidance.When the country fought against Burma and Jinchuan,he sent the provisions and funds for the troops according to the order and composed some poems for this which reflected the changes of the current situation.He compiled Annals of Longchang County which helped to conserve the local historical literature.We have failed to see any biography of him,but we can roughly outline his life story with the help the literature like his poetry collection Huazhuang Leigao and works of his friends.
