基于多元系统的中国科幻文学翻译传播——以《三体》为例

A Translation-Communication Mode of Science Fiction Based on Polysystem Theory:A Case Study on The Three-body Problem

中国科幻文学外译传播长期滞缓,原因之一是部分译者在翻译和传播中忽视了译入国的文化系统,造成译本内部创造力与吸引力缺失。《三体》是近年来中国科幻外译传播最成功的案例之一,分析其在美国文学系统的传播与接受具有一定意义。多元系统论的“三组对立”能综合分析《三体》翻译之内部文本要素和外部传播层因素,并横向比较系列内作品,为科幻文学翻译传播实践与研究提供借鉴。

The communication of China’s science fiction translation has been stuck in a sluggish status for long.One of the reasons may attribute to translators’negligence of cultural systems in target countries during translation and communication,leading to the lack of internal innovation and attraction resulting in the mere reception of the translation version.The Three-body Problem is one of the most successful cases in the translation and communication of China’s science fiction in recent years,and the research on its communication and reception in American literature system would be meaningful.This paper,taking“the three contrasts”of polysystem theory as a theoretical basis,analyzes the advantages of internal textual elements of The Three-body Problem as well as the external factors of communication,and makes a horizontal comparison of the same series to build up a communication mode of universal application for China’s science fiction translation,which provides some enlightenment for future practice and research.
