高校英语教育“中国文化失语”现象的透视与反思

高校英语教育是培养大学生跨文化交际意识和能力的主阵地、主渠道,跨文化交际的双向性决定了英语文化教学应同时兼顾母语文化和目的语文化,然而当前高校英语教育中存在“中国文化失语”现象,消解了英语教学的功能和价值。“中国文化失语”现象的存在,其背后必然是大学生对母语文化的认知和认同缺位,其原因在于高校英语教育的文化传播失位。对此,必须要采取有效措施,从教学改革、师资建设等方面探索有效方法,进而实现人才培养目标。

It is known that university English education serves as the major means to cultivate university students'awareness and competence of intercultural communication and both Chinese and English culture should be taken into consideration because intercultural communication is inherently a bilateral process.However,"Chinese cultural aphasia"in present English education undermines the functions and values of English teaching and reflects students'insufficient understanding of and identification with their native culture.This indicates that effective measures have to be taken on teaching reform and teacher training to achieve the goals of talent cultivation.
