目的论和规范论视角下的文化负载词字幕翻译——以《舌尖上的中国》为例

Culture-loaded Words in the Subtitle Translation from the Combination of Skopo Theories and Norm Theories:A Case Study of A Bite of China

翻译目的论主张译文在目的语中的功能性,而翻译规范理论强调译文应从属各类社会文化规范。两者应用范围不同,但相互制约。以《舌尖上的中国》英译版作为切入点,分析电影字幕中文化负载词如何在规范之下实现翻译目的的最大化,以期说明两种翻译理论互为补充是字幕中文化负载词翻译的理想途径。

The skopos theories emphasize the function of translation in the target language,whereas norm theories focus on the various social and cultural norms that translation should be subordinate to.With differences in their primary concerns and application ranges,this paper,based on comprehensive analysis of examples taken from the English version of A Bite of China,attempts to explore the translation strategies of cultural-loaded words in film subtitles from the combination of skopo theories and norm theories.It is recommended that such combination can be applied to the culture-loaded words in the subtitle translation.
