Understanding Other Minds: Simulation and Perception

模仿论将他心理解视为基于想象的心理模仿。直接感知论在个人层和亚人层反对模仿论的心理模仿机制,并质疑模仿论的"心灵不可见假设"。根据直接感知论,我们通常能直接感知他人的心理状态,而不需要依靠感知之外的模仿或理论推论。直接感知论有必要进一步澄清他心感知与物理对象感知之间的差异。

Simulation theory considers the understanding of other minds as the imagination-based mental simulation.The theory of direct perception opposes mental simulation mechanisms at personal level and sub-personal level,and doubts the hypothesis of unobservability of minds.According to theory of direct perception,we always could directly grasp others’mental states by perception without relying on any additional simulation or theory inference beyond perception.It is necessary for the theory of direct perception to further clarify the distinctions between other minds-perception and physical object-perception.
