Handheld spectrum have features of high performance,light weight and small size,et al,it is very suit for outdoor measurement on site.In this paper,main features of handheld spectrum analyzer are described simply.Applications of handheld spectrum analyzer described systematically in the earth station antenna fault testing,these applications include the earth station antenna electromagnetic environment test,antenna pointing detection,uplink fault detection,downlink fault detection and antenna performance test etc.
