Discursive Exploration on Judith Butler’s Theory of Gender Identity

朱迪斯·巴特勒的性别身份理论从性别身份的述行性建构,身份形成的排斥机制及主体能动性等方面阐释了性别身份形成于对具有生成性、强制性、限制性和仪式性的性别规范话语的述行行为中;身份不是普遍稳定或可量化的概念,而是一系列流动开放的话语实践和排斥性手段;真正有效的身份颠覆策略应是在述行行为的基础上建立主体存在的动态开放的表达方式和展演多元话语实践。从话语实践的角度研究巴特勒的性别身份理论对于实现身份研究在研究范式上的后结构主义转向具有重要的理论和现实意义。

Judith Butler’s identity theory points out identity is constructed through the performative practice of gender norm which is generative, coercive, limiting and ritual from the aspects of performative construction of gender identity, exclusion mechanism of identity formation, and agency. Identity is not perceived as stable or quantitative, but acts as fluid and open discursive practices and exclusion means. The most effective subversive strategy is to set up the open and dynamic expression of subject existence and demonstrate multiple discursive practices. This discursive exploration on Butler’s gender identity theory makes both theoretical and practical contribution to the poststructuralist shift of the paradigm of identity research.
