韩江是韩国当代文坛的中坚力量,近年来发表了许多影响深刻的作品。她的作品往往思想内涵深刻,情感丰富,植物意象隐喻的运用是形成该特征的重要手段之一。其布克奖获奖作品《素食主义者》即为杰出的代表。在明确意象隐喻概念的基础上,主要阐述《素食主义者》中源域和目标域的植物意象间的对应,能够剖析出植物意象隐喻活动中体现的主题思想,有助于理解韩江小说的独特魅力。

Han Kang is the backbone of Korean contemporary literary world,whose many profound works have been published in recent years.Her works are often rich in ideological content and emotion, and the use of plant imagery metaphor is one of the important ways to form this feature.The book named The Vegetarian which got The Man Booker Prize in 2016 is an outstanding representative. On the basis of defining the concept of imagery metaphor, the correspondence between the plant images in the source domain and the target domain in The Vegetarian will be mainly explained, and then we are able to analyze the theme of plant image metaphorical activities in Han Kang’s novels.It’s helpful to understand the unique charm of Han Kang’s novels.
