On the Historical Value of China’s New Democratic Revolution from the Perspective of Modernization

现代化是世界潮流,也是近代中国历史的主题。资本主义现代化道路在中国行不通,中国的现代化最终选择了由新民主主义到社会主义的道路。现代化视域下,中国新民主主义革命的独特价值表现在:新民主主义革命是中国走向现代化的必由之路;新民主主义革命胜利为中国现代化提供了必要前提;新民主主义革命过程中提出由农业国转变为工业国的任务为中国现代化指明了正确的发展目标;新民主主义革命胜利后建立的新中国为中国现代化提供了政治保障。

Modernization is the world trend and the theme of modern Chinese history.The road of capitalist modernization can’t work in China and finally the road from the New Democracy to socialism was chosen for China’s modernization.From the perspective of modernization,the unique values of China’s New Democratic Revolution(hereinafter referred to as NDR)are as follows:NDR is the only way for China to go towards modernization;the victory of NDR provides the necessary prerequisite for China’s modernization;the mission of transforming the agricultural country into an industrial country in the process of NDR highlights the correct development goal for China’s modernization;and after the victory of the new democratic revolution,the establishment of New China provided a political guarantee for China’s modernization.
