摘要
本文运用可视化分析软件CiteSpace在Web of Science数据库中检索了国外1999~2019年的相关文献,描述关于语言与贫困问题研究的学术发展和学术联系。研究发现:20年来该主题的研究呈上升的趋势;主要研究主体来自发达国家及其科研机构;关注该主题的主要学科有教育学、心理学、发展心理学、教育心理学和语言学等;五大高被引期刊关注的角度存在学科差异;该主题的研究热点包括贫困对语言发展的阻碍作用和障碍方式、贫困对语言使用者影响的年龄差异、低收入家庭环境对语言学习者的负面影响以及其他特殊贫困群体的语言问题等。本研究对国内未来的学术发展提出了3点启示:建设主动参与、持续稳定的研究队伍;促进各领域的学科融合和成果转化;深化和拓展研究议题和视野。
The role of languages in poverty alleviation has received increasing attention in China.However,international scholarship in this fi eld is yet to be introduced.This paper uses CiteSpace as a research tool to analyze the relevant literature in order to demonstrate the state of the art and trends concerning the relationship between language and poverty.Altogether 412 articles in the Web of Science database published between 1999 and 2019 have been selected for bibliometric analysis.The results show that the research output on this topic has been on the rise in the past two decades,and the contributions from research institutions in developed countries constitute the majority of the publications.This topic gains attentions in numerous disciplines,such as education,psychology,developmental psychology,educational psychology and linguistics.However,the most cited journals take diff erent perspectives and methodologies in the exploration of language and poverty.Four major research themes have been identifi ed in the literature:the impact of poverty on language development;the age variation of poverty on language speakers;impact of low family social-economic status on language learning and other language problems confronted by poor people.We suggest that future directions include building up research teams to conduct dedicated and sustainable research,collaboration among researchers in diff erent disciplines,and expansion of research scope in this area.
