摘要
肠外致病性大肠埃希菌(ExPEC)是一种重要的病原菌,近年来其对畜牧业(猪、禽、牛羊)、食品业和人类健康的造成了严重的威胁,多重耐药性和生物被膜形成更增加其防控难度。生物被膜在细菌抗逆生长中发挥着重要作用,其与细菌的致病性、耐药性、免疫逃逸等有着密切的关系;而毒素-抗毒素系统也普遍存在于细菌的基因组中,调节细菌的不同生理活动。本研究通过缺失肠外致病性大肠埃希菌的毒素-抗毒素系统yafON基因,发现yafON毒素-抗毒素系统缺失可以引起生物被膜形成能力下降,为解析毒素-抗毒素系统调控生物被膜形成的初步机制和机理奠定了基础。
Extraintestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli(ExPEC)strains are important pathogens that cause a variety of threat to livestock husbandry,food industry and human health,additionally the multi-drug resistance and biofilm formation of ExPEC increase the difficulty of control and therapy for infection.Biofilm plays important roles in the bacterial growth against adverse environment,which is closely connected with pathogenicity,antibiotic resistance,immune evasion and so on.And toxin-antitoxin systems that control and regulate the different physiology are widespread in the bacterial chromosome.Our results showed that deletion of toxin-antitoxin genes yafON in ExPEC significantly reduced the biofilm formation.This work will lay the foundation for further research of toxin-antitoxin systems regulating biofilm formation in the future.
