Interpretation of Treating Heart Disease with Jing Fang (Classical Prescription)

凡患肺气肿、肺心病,咳喘不止,有痰鸣,肺部闻之有干湿啰音者,可用厚朴麻黄汤治之;凡脉结代,心动悸,气阴两虚者,炙甘草汤治之;凡心力衰竭,出现肝肿大、肺瘀血、水肿,脉象多不整,或沉细而数,舌质紫黯、苔白润者,真武汤治之;凡风心病,或冠心病,通身浮肿,腹大如箕,小便不利者,桂枝芍药知母汤治之;凡胸闷憋痛,或痛及背肩,舌苔白腻,脉象不利者,瓜蒌薤白剂治之;凡心悸动,脉沉迟,一呼一吸三至者,麻黄细辛附子汤治之;凡肺部感染疾患,见咳喘、痰多、不得平卧者,葶苈大枣泻肺汤加味治之;凡心悸、怔忡、自汗、心神不宁、脉无结代、无器质性心脏病者,桂枝甘草龙骨牡蛎汤治之;凡阴虚之失眠、心悸、烦躁,或有自汗,舌质红赤,脉象弦细者,酸枣仁汤治之;凡由痰饮引起的心痛、心悸动、怔忡、眩晕等,舌苔白滑而润者,苓桂术甘汤治之。

For those who suffer from emphysema,pulmonary heart disease,coughing and wheezing,phlegm,and dry or wet rales in the lungs can be treated with Houpo Mahuang Decoction;for those who suffer from knotted pulse,palpitations,and deficiency of both Qi and Yin,Zhigancao Decoction can be used in treatment;for those who suffer from heart failure,hepatomegaly,lung stasis,edema,pulse irregularity,or with deep,thin and rapid purple as well as dark tongue and white moss,Zhenwu Decoction is used;for those who suffer from rheumatic heart disease,or coronary heart disease,swelling of the whole body,abdomen being as big as a scabby,with difficulty in urination,Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Decoction can be used in treatment;for those who suffer chest tightness and pain,or pain to the back and shoulders,with white and greasy tongue coating,and unfavorable pulse condition,Gualou xiebai Prescription can be used;for those with palpitation,deep and slow pulse,which is three time in one breath and one inhalation,Mahuang Xixin Fuzi Decoction can be used in treatment;for those with lung infections,such as coughing and wheezing,excessive phlegm,and unable to lie down,modified Tingli Dazao Xiefei Decoction can be used in treatment;for those with palpitation,spontaneous sweating,restlessness,without knotted pulse or organic heart disease,Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli Decoction can be used in treatment;for those suffer from insomnia,palpitations,irritability,or spontaneous sweating,red tongue,stringy pulse with Yin deficiency syndrome,Suanzaoren Decoction can be used;for those with heartache,heart palpitations,dizziness,etc.caused by phlegm,with white,smooth and wet tongue coating,Linggui Zhugan Decoction can be used.
