China has been a country of etiquette since ancient times.After thousands of years of civilization,it has formed a good social atmosphere of knowing,respecting and saluting etiquette.In the course of the development of human society,etiquette has gradually formed a custom,self-disciplined and respectful cultural system.Starting from the origin and development of etiquette,the paper analyzes the etiquette of the primitive period,the Shang and Zhou periods,the Han and Tang periods,the Republican Period and the period since the founding of the People's Republic of China,so as to deepen the spirit and connotation of etiquette,and expounds its important enlightenment in the construction of etiquette culture in the new era.
