The Party Building Thought of Mao Zedong and Other Leaders Around the Eighth National Congress of the CPC and Its Contemporary Value

党的八大前后,随着社会主义改造的完成,我国社会主要矛盾发生变化。以毛泽东为核心的党中央以苏联社会主义建设经验为鉴,在总结新中国头几年积累的宝贵执政经验基础上,对新形势新阶段党的建设进行了极其可贵的探索和思考,提出面对新的矛盾和任务加强党的建设必须提高党员干部的马列主义水平、必须保持党同人民群众的血肉联系、必须健全民主集中制、必须优化党员队伍结构。这些认识发展了马克思列宁主义建党学说,不仅有效地指导了执政党建设、推动了中国特色社会主义民主政治建设,而且对新时代中国共产党正在深入推进的党的建设新的伟大工程有着重要的启示。

Around the Eighth National Congress of the Party,with the completion of socialist transformation,the main social contradictions in China changed.The Party Central Committee with Mao Zedong as its core took the Soviet Union’s experience in socialist construction as a mirror,and on the basis of summarizing the valuable ruling experience accumulated in the first few years of the New China,carried out extremely valuable explorations and reflections on Party building in the new situation and new stage.To strengthen Party building for new contradictions and tasks,we must raise the level of Marxism-Leninism among Party members and cadres,maintain the flesh-and-blood ties between the Party and the people,improve the democratic centralism,and optimize the structure of Party members.These understandings have developed the Marxist-Leninist theory of Party building,which not only effectively guides the building of the ruling Party and promotes the building of socialist democratic politics with Chinese characteristics,but also has important implications for the new great project of Party building that the Chinese Communist Party is advancing in the new era.
