Plantation Management and Pest Control of Young Areca Nut

槟榔是海南省主要经济作物之一,全省槟榔种植面积已经超过13万hm 2;近年来,市场对槟榔的需求日益增加,槟榔的种植面积也不断扩大,槟榔种植管理问题日益突出,尤其是幼龄槟榔种植管理尤为薄弱.本文综述了幼龄槟榔的种植管理措施及主要病虫害防控技术,以期为槟榔种植者提供参考.

Areca nut is an important commercial crop in Hainan province,occupying over 130 thousand hectares for plantation all over the island.With gradually increasing market demand,its cultivated area grows correspondingly.The management of areca nut plantations needs to be improved and,especially,the young areca nut plants require special care.This article summarizes the planting and management measures of young betel nut trees and the prevention and control technology of main diseases and insect pests so as to provide reference for betel nut growers.
