The collection of university libraries has strong ethnic and cultural characteristics.The collection of ancient books and documents includes the classification,screening,layout and naming of the literature content.It plays a positive and critical role of protection,application and inheritance in the construction of literature resources in university libraries.Therefore,this paper explores the role of the collection of ancient books and documents in colleges and universities,explains the selection and layout standards of the characteristic collection of ancient books and documents,and the relevant principles of naming and selecting ancient books and documents,hoping to provide some help for the selection,layout and naming of the characteristic collection of ancient books and documents in university libraries.
