The Sun Is Nearer Than is Zhou Xuanpu's latest novel.The work focuses on two heroines,Luo Jiyi and Zhen Baozhu,and their struggle to the city,following their destiny footprints from rural areas to the city,and describing the breakthrough process in which they depend on their bodies and their labor in the city,and seek for the identity of themselves from the society.Spanning decades,the novel not only has the breadth of life,but also the depth of human nature,and reflects the living dilemma of rural women,as well as the real life and spirit world of Chinese people,taking on a long volume of customs and singing a long female song.
