历史文献关于妈祖的记载是后代妈祖形象符号化的载体,妈祖灵验故事的广泛影响使妈祖形象逐步符号化、象征化。在妈祖崇拜中,妈祖由最初的巫女形象逐步演绎成宗教神灵,在中国社会中产生深刻的信仰力量。本文拟从历史、政治与宗教因素角度探索妈祖形象的生成与接受,深入阐释妈祖崇拜的文化内涵。

The record of Mazu in historical documents is the carrier of the symbolization of Mazu’s image for future generations.The extensive influence of Mazu’s spiritual stories has gradually symbolized the image of Mazu.In the worship of Mazu,Mazu gradually evolved from the image of a witch into a religious deity,which produced a profound belief power in Chinese society.This article intends to explore the formation and acceptance of the image of Mazu from the perspective of historical,political and religious factors,and explain the cultural connotation of Mazu worship in depth.
