Objective To compare the detection efficacy of different microbial assays methods on the vaginal discharge of patients with candida vaginitis. Methods A total of 128 patients with candidal vaginitis admitted to our hospital from February 2018 to February 2019 were selected for the study. All patients underwent microscopic examination, agglutination method and culture method for vaginal secretion examination respectively, the results of the vaginal discharge tests were compared with those of different methods. Results 128 patients were tested for vaginal discharge by different methods. The results showed that the detection rate of candida was 90.63%by microscopic examination,82.81%by culture test, and 81.25%by the agglutination test. The detection rate of candida by the microscopic examination was higher than that by the culture method and the agglutination method, the difference were statistically significant(χ2=5.1429,6.6476,P=0.0233,0.0099),and the difference was not statistically significant in the detection rate of candida by culture method and agglutination method(χ2=0.1060,P=0.7447).Conclusion Compared with the agglutination and culture methods, the microscopic examination to carry out vaginal discharge detection has a higher detection rate for candida, and can be used as the first choice for clinical diagnosis of candidal vaginitis.
