The theoretical study of private compulsory education should first be based on the study of its connotation.This paper makes a theoretical study on the connotation of private compulsory education from the concept,the status,the theoretical basis and the significance of private compulsory education,as well as the characteristics of private compulsory education,with a view to summing up the development achievements and advantages of private compulsory education and contributing to the further healthy development of private compulsory education.
