This paper analyzes the current situation of talent demand in electromechanical industry and the problems existing in the employment of electromechanical professionals,explains the characteristics of skills competition,summarizes the experiences of competition,and finds that skills competition can effectively deepen the cooperation between schools and enterprises,promotes the reform of professional curriculum and the training of teachers,improves the students'basic skills and comprehensive quality,and play a leading role in the training of mechanical and electrical professionals.
