The reserve sows need special care before and after breeding.After entering breeding stage,they should have good feeding management to improve the reproductive performance of sows and ensure the normal production of sows.The back-up sows are prone to constipation during pregnancy and production,which will lead to the gradual deterioration of mental state,induce various gastrointestinal diseases,decrease the production performance of sows and affect the normal growth and development of piglets.In the development of pig breeding industry,it is necessary to pay attention to the breeding and management of the reserve sows,to closely observe the occurrence of constipation in the reserve sows,and to take urgent measures to effectively deal with the situation and alleviate the clinical symptoms of the sows,to avoid serious economic damage.This paper mainly discusses the feeding and management measures and the prevention and control measures of constipation for gilts.
