珠江三角洲甘蔗糖厂工人住区规划建设研究

A Study on the Planning and Construction of the Workers’ Residence in the Cane Sugar Factory of the Pearl River Delta

制糖工业是珠江三角洲近代工业化的重要支柱行业。随着产业迁移、城市的快速扩张和更新,珠三角制糖工业逐渐退出了历史舞台,步入遗产行列。作为工业遗产的重要组成部分,糖厂工人住区反映了广东近现代工业化及住区发展进程。文章通过实地调研、厂史厂志等文献研究,结合访谈退休职工,分析糖厂工人住区规划建设的历程及其在时代与产业发展背景下的成因,总结住区规划建设特点及建筑风格特征,挖掘糖厂工人住区的保护价值,为工人住区的更新与改造提供参考。

The cane sugar industry is an important pillar industry in the modern industrialization of the Pearl River Delta. With the relocation of industries and the rapid expansion and renewal of cities, the cane sugar industry in the Pearl River Delta has gradually withdrawn from the historical stage and entered the ranks of heritage. As an important part of the industrial heritage, the workers’ settlements of sugar industry reflect the modern industrialization and development of settlements in Guangdong. Through field research, factory history and other literature research, combined with interviews with retired employees, this paper analyzed the history of the construction of sugar industry workers’ settlements and their causes under the background of the times and industrial development, and summarized the characteristics of residential planning and construction and architectural style characteristics to excavate the historical and cultural value of workers’ settlements in sugar factories, and to provide a reference for the renovation and transformation of workers’ settlements.
