It is important for the teachers to choose a book appropriate to the students’proficiency level,have a clear teaching goal based on students’learning and use a“layered reading”approachwhen they want to teach guided reading of the whole original English book.When preparing the lesson,the teachers should build a thinking framework and tools that meet the students’cognitive level.In teaching,clear scaffolding,driving questions and enough time should be provided to students in order to promote their in-depth thinking.Besides,diversified evaluation methods should be used to encourage students to continue learning.
