“多语种+”:课程思政背景下外语人才培养的内涵、路径与成效

Cultivating “Multilingual +” Foreign Language Talents:The Connotation,Path and Effect under the Background of All-Course-Based Ideological and Political Education

文章在分析外语人才需求的基础上,探讨课程思政背景下"多语种+"外语人才的内涵,即"会语言""通国家""精领域""强思政"。以上海外国语大学为案例,文章解析了"多语种+"外语人才的培养实践及其成效,旨在丰富相关研究,为我国高校外语人才培养提供借鉴和启示。

Based on an analysis of the qualifications of foreign language talents, this paper discusses the connotation of "Multilingual + " talents under the background of " All-Course-Based Ideological and Political Education ", which can be elaberated as"excellent language competency,good understanding of target countries,proficiency in specific fields,and strong ideological and political qualities"."Excellent language competency" means strong humanistic literacy, crosscultural communicative competence and multilingual skills. Language is an important carrier of culture;culture is the main content of language. Only when one has a good command of foreign languages can he or she get a good understanding of the diversified conditions of different countries,establish platforms of cooperation and communication effectively, and promote cross-cultural communication."Good understanding of countries "means being emotionally attached to the home-country,and having international outlook and mastering knowledge of nations and areas. To meet the need of "the Belt and Road Initiative " and "Chinese Culture Diffusion ",students majoring in foreign languages need an overall understanding of the national and social conditions and cultural properties of the target countries to achieve mutual understanding among civilizations and strengthen people-to-people ties."Proficiency in specific fields "means that students should be proficient in interdisciplinary knowledge and have the ability to participate in global governance. In other words,students can integrate language competence and knowledge of a specific discipline to become interdisciplinary talents who are able to take part in global affairs and be well versed in the knowledge of a certain area or nation and a specific field. Cultivating " strong ideological and political qualities"refers to the formation of an integrated system of moral education,which has the foundation of multiple resources of ideological and political education,and is fulfilled by means of cooperative mechanisms and activities. This system unremittingly uses China ’s socialist ideology of Xi Jinping ’s new era to guide students to understand the world situation,the party ’s and people’s feelings,and their political and ideological identity,thereby strengthening students’ confidence in China’s road of socialism with Chinese characteristics,with theoretical, institutional and cultural selfconfidence. The researchers have conducted a case study of Shanghai International Studies University and made an analysis of its practice and effect of "multilingual + "talents cultivation,with the purpose of enriching relevant studies and providing reference and enlightenment for the cultivation of foreign language talents in Chinese universities.
