Practical Research of Ideological and Political Education in College English Courses

摘要 大学英语是高校开展课程思政教育的重要阵地。文章以《全新版大学英语综合教程(第二版)》系列教材为例,探索大学英语课程思政教学的具体实施方案。教师应在深入分析文本材料的基础上,多角度探寻思政内容和教学内容的融合点,从文本主题与篇章语言两个角度深挖思政元素,采用线上与线下相结合的教学形式,将国家政策、时事新闻、国学经典、传统文化等思政元素融入教学,充分利用新媒体资源和第二课堂全方位地推进大学英语课程思政教育,构筑育人大格局。 College English course is an important part for colleges to carry out all-course-based ideological and political education. This article takes a series of texts in the " Comprehensive College English( Second Edition) " as examples to explore the specific implementation of college English ideological and political education. On the basis of in-depth analysis of teaching materials,efforts can be made to explore the integration of ideological and political content and English teaching from multiple angles;dig deep into the ideological and political elements from the perspective of text theme and text language;combine online and offline teaching methods;and make full use of new media resources and the flipped class to promote the ideological and political education of college English courses in an all-round way.Firstly, efforts can be made to examine the ideological and political elements that are related to text theme. The specific practical implementation can be summarized as follows:( 1) teachers can introduce important national policies and government work reports related to the theme of the unit into college English class in bilingual form;( 2) teachers can take advantage of current affairs to arouse students ’ attention to political issues and cultivate their values,such as the latest news,about the heroic deeds and touching stories of Chinese doctors against COVID-19;( 3) teachers can bring traditional culture education into class to prepare students for telling Chinese stories well,with stories of the origin of Chinese character and Tang poetry,for example;( 4)teachers should integrate Xi’s policy into college English class with quotations that are related to the unit theme,from the English version of Xi Jinping the Governance of China,for example.Secondly,teachers can explore the language features of the text and integrate outstanding Chinese culture into class to let students appreciate the art of literature through comparison between Chinese and western cultures.Through the Sino-western cultural analysis and comparison,students will have a better understanding of cross-cultural communication.Thirdly, teachers can make full use of online resources such as audio and video materials, public accounts, various software, useful APPs and other network resources with modern teaching methods. The new media can stimulate learning interests.The above three parts are not independent. Teachers can combine them to design curriculum ideology according to different unit topics. Through exploring the fusion of ideological and political contents from multiple angles on the basis of the in-depth analysis of teaching materials, teachers can integrate the connotations of truth,goodness,beauty,Chinese classics,analysis of current affairs and core socialist values into teaching,enhance the affinity and cohesion of the ideological and political education and turn the college English course,apart from English skills training,into a main channel of college students’ character shaping and value guidance.
