As an active literary critic and thinker in the 19th century,N.N.Strakhov,together with his literary heritage,is receiving growing attention from scholars.For over a hundred years,however,Strakhovian criticism has taken a detour.Its gradual path--from margin to center and from supporting to leading role-and lessons deserve careful consideration.
