It uses a fragmented narrative mode to describe the poverty of Russian rural life from multiple angles, reveals the ups and downs of fate and tenacious resistance of the unimportant people during the social transformation period, and expresses the unimportant people’s persistent desire for survival and the yearning for a better life. This paper intends to take deconstruction as the starting point, to expound the characteristics of the fragmented narrative of Karamzin’s Country Life from the aspects of structure, language, and destiny of the characters, and to reveal its aesthetic significance.
