Liver transplantation(LT)is the only curative option for simultaneous hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and cirrhosis induced by hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection.However,the recurrence rate of HCC after LT is high,and intrahepatic recurrence of the primary tumor and de novo HCC occur freque ntly in the tra nspla nted liver[1].
