Laboratory diagnosis plays an important role in combating the ongoing pandemic coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).In this review,current laboratory diagnostic methods including the most widely used nucleic acid tests and serological assays are summarized,facilitating healthcare professionals to understand recent progress on diagnostic tools,to choose suitable reagents and screening strategies for monitoring and managing the current COVID-19 epidemic.
