The images of plague that haunted Shakespeare's life are very common in Shakespeare's plays. The images symbolize disaster, curse and requests of various religious groups.Religions believe the plague is God's punishment on people's moral uncleanness.Inefficient isolation policy of the authorities against the plague and the scenes of urban chaos are also attacked by religions, especially Puritanism.Shakespeare's religious idcas in his plays are relatively vague, for economic and political reasons.
