摘要
潮剧《再世皇后》是二十世纪八十年代改编自莎剧《冬天的故事》的地方戏曲。本论文拟讨论潮汕地区搬演该剧的时代因素,选择该莎剧的具体原因,考察近代潮汕地区对莎剧的接受背景和方式;同时,通过对比两部戏剧在情节安排、人物设定和语言风格的异同,讨论《冬天的故事》在地方化的过程中整体发生的变化。莎士比亚戏剧从19世纪末期被介绍到中国之后,被不断地翻译为中文,改编为地方戏剧。《冬天的故事》从被选择到改编为《再世皇后》,整个过程都记录着潮汕地区的文化、风俗,以及潮剧戏曲特点和这部世界名剧互动的细节,是地方戏曲与世界名剧交流的一个典型案例。
Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale was adapted into Chaozhou opera titled Rebirth of the Queen in the 1980s.This article intends to discuss the historical background of this adaptation activity,including the reasons for selecting this Shakespearean play rather than others and the reception of this adaptation in the area.Besides,the article also conducts a textual comparison between the Zhu Shenghao's translation of this play,which is the source text for adaptation in this case,with the adapted version,and find out the differences in the storylines,characterization and language styles between the two versions.Since Shakespeare's works were introduced into China at the end of the 19th century,the plays have been translated and retranslated into different Chinese versions,including some dialectal versions.The adaptation of The Winter's Tale into Rebirth of the Queen is one of the examples of how this world classic interacts with the local culture,customs,and opera.
